Kids have lots of questions about the human body. After all, it’s what they live in every day. If, like me, you are a little rusty on your human biology facts these children’s books about the human body will help both you and your kids learn a thing or two about all the systems, organs, bones and other good stuff that have kept homo sapiens going for thousands of years.

Usborne is known for offering super interactive books. We just got this one and it is crazy cool. Chicago, American Library. The Human Body Book is amazing in the fact that so much information is contained in so few pages. The language used for the medical terminology is of common everyday words easily understandable which is great. I never once had to refer to a dictionary or encylopedia for clarification and explanation of what I had just by:   The information in the book is great for children in early elementary school and isn’t as overwhelming as some of the other books we reviewed.

My First Human Body Book by Donald M. Silver & Patricia J. Wynn. Despite its colorful cover, this is actually a coloring book on the inside. It is filled with illustrations, diagrams, and interesting.

Pretty good basic anatomy book, written in an engaging way. In addition to "structure and operation" of the basic human body systems (skeletal, muscular, respiratory, circulatory, digestive, excretory and reproductive -- nervous and endocrine systems are apparently covered in a separate volume), Asimov also compares these systems to those of other life forms/5.

Human body parts comprise a head, neck and four limbs that are connected to a torso. Giving the body its shape is the skeleton, which is composed of cartilage and bone. Human body internal parts such as the lungs, heart, and brain, are enclosed within the skeletal system and are housed within the different internal body cavities.
